With this in mind we have created this list of “Frequently Asked Questions” to help you through the process of
ordering your personalized headbands.
Please review this list before ordering and if there is something that we have not covered do not hesitate to ask us.

1) Is there a limit to the number of characters, (letters), I can have on a headband?
The answer to this is generally no. Please keep a few things in mind though. Spaces count as a character and the longer the name or phrase is
the smaller the lettering and/or graphics will be. For this reason we may suggest stacking verses a single line, and we may also require that you
use a Block or Hobo style font.
2) Can The Smug Mutt put graphics on my headband in addition to my name, team name or phrase?
Yes, The Smug Mutt offers a variety of sports and other general graphics such as Soccer balls, Volleyballs, Softballs, Hearts, Peace Signs,
Flowers, Etc. We recommend that the graphics be used on solid color headbands only. The graphics in many cases will be less visible on the polka
dot or animal print headbands. The Smug Mutt has developed and uses our own set of graphics that we feel work best on our headbands.
We will not copy or use someone else's graphics.
3) Can the Smug Mutt put characters or graphics on the front and back of my headband?
Yes, but this requires an additional hooping of the headband and there will be an additional $2.00 per headband charge.
4) Is there anything that The Smug Mutt won’t put on a headband?
Yes. We reserve the right to refuse items or phrases that are vulgar or in bad taste, including anything that has do with the University of Kansas!
5) Does The Smug Mutt do bulk headband orders and have bulk pricing?
Yes, bulk orders are accepted and we do offer bulk pricing for the standard 2”, 2.5”, and Glitter headbands. Toddler and Tye-Dye headbands are
not available in bulk. Bulk orders of 200 or more require at least 30 days lead time.
Bulk pricing for the standard two inch headband is as follows:
001-200 headbands - $5.00 each
201-500 headbands - $4.00 each
501 + headbands - $3.00 each
Bulk pricing for the standard 2.5 inch and glitter headbands is as follows:
001-200 headbands - $8.00 each
201-500 headbands - $7.00 each
501 + headbands - $6.00 each
6) Will The Smug Mutt put my logo on a headband?
Yes, in most cases, we can put your logo or a modified version of your logo on a headband. The Smug Mutt charges a one-time digitizing/set-up
fee of at least $10.00 for this service. Please keep in mind that the general working areas for the headbands are as follows:
Toddler - .75” x 4”
Adult (2 inch) - 1.25” x 5”
Adult (2.5 inch) – 1.5” x 5”
For this reason logos that are more horizontal than vertical, and logos that are more open and airy in design rather than solid and dense in design
work much better.
You will need to email your logo to dogstuff@thesmugmutt.com as an image file for evaluation; a simple (.jpg) or (.bmp) will do. If we determine that
your logo will work on a headband your logo will be digitized and we will stitch out one sample at no charge for your approval. Additional samples
will be stitched out at the normal headband price.
7) How do I place my headband order?
Please email your order to dogstuff@thesmugmutt.com including all of the following information:
a) Number of headbands.
b) Color of each headband.
c) Lettering and/or graphics for each headband.
d) Contact information.
You will be contacted with any questions and to secure payment and finalize your order. No order will be finalized and processed without payment.
8) What forms of payment does The Smug Mutt accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover via Square.
We also accept payment via Pay pal thru the email address: thesmugmutt@yahoo.com
9) What can I expect for a turnaround time?
The Smug Mutt requires at least a minimum 30 days lead time for bulk orders of 200 or more headbands once the order has been finalized and
payment has been received.
For non-bulk orders, unless specified otherwise, once your order has been finalized and payment has been received you should expect shipment
of your headbands in 10 business days.
You will receive an email once your headbands have been shipped.
10) Does The Smug Mutt accept rush/express orders?
The Smug Mutt strives to provide the very best quality and makes a concerted effort to be fair to all customers. With this in mind, we do not
normally accept rush/express orders. However, we may consider a rush order on a case by case basis and an additional fee will apply.
11) Is shipping included in the price of my headbands?
Yes, STANDARD shipping is included in the price of your headbands.
12) What if I receive my headbands and there is damage or I am not happy with the quality of my headbands?
Please get in contact with The Smug Mutt immediately upon the receipt of your headbands if there are any issues with them. All issues will be
reviewed on a case by case basis and we will make every effort to correct any issues.
