The "Smug Mutts" are HUGE supporters of a wonderful rescue organization here in the St. Louis area named
"
Gateway Pet Guardians" Please check them out they are doing fabulous things in the East St. Louis and Washington
Park areas of  "Metro East" (Illinois) St. Louis.
On December 1st, 2011 they rescued two homeless puppies from the streets of East St. Louis, IL. A boy that they
named "Patella" and a girl that they named "Tibia".

Patella/Tibia Rescue

We first heard of her from a fellow Gateway supporter and found out she would be at an event we were planning on
attending. Once again it seemed like fate took over and "Tibia" left that event with us and became "Montana", Smug
Mutt number six.
Montana is a shepherd mix but is not shepherd size. She is now almost three and only weighs 45 pounds. She is a
real flirt and loves her brothers and sisters, and they have welcomed her like she has been a part of them all along.
She loves to swim with her brother Jaxxon and play with squeaky toys with her brother Thunder and she is a
bonafide Daddy's Girl!
She is wonderful dog and we are so glad she found us.

Montana says: FOSTER, ADOPT, DONATE, VOLUNTEER!
